 Follow this instruction carefully to unlock your modem:
1.Before Updating firmware you need to Calculate unlock/flash code for your modem.For that you need IMEI no of your modem.Which can be found on the box of the modem or on modem where you insert a simcard.Refer following screen shot and Enter your IMEI number and generate unlock and flash code using Universal Master code Calculator.
2.Then plug your device to your computer then Run E173 Huawei Firmware Download.exe  it will find your modem automatically.Make sure that you have closed airtel dashboard or mobile partner.
3. When the firmware updating starts it  ask for “FLASH CODE” which was generated by Universal master code software.Enter your Flash code and click on start
4.When the Firmware updating completed successfully.you are ready to use any simcard
