MTS Launches MSaver 191, STD At 1p/2Sec

To provide cheaper call rate and better customer experience MTS India launches MSaver191 in its ALL circles except Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat, Assam and Madhya Pradesh.
This MSaver will cost Rs. 191(in UP and Maharashtra it will cost Rs. 203) after recharge one can enjoy Local and STD calling as low as just1p/2Sec and this tariff is applicable for both On-Net and Off-Net. The validity of this pack is 6 months from the date of recharge.

MTS To Launch 14.7 Mbps Super Speed Mobile Broadband in India

MTS the CDMA Mobile and EVDO Data Services of Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd (SSTL), which nationally operates its telecom services with over 11 million wireless customers finally geared up to launch High Speed Wireless Broadband with speed up to 14.7 Mbps in India.
To Upgrade its present EVDO network, MTS India today gave the commercial contract to ZTE Corporation, the global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions. ZTE will setup world’s first CDMA EV-DO Rev.B for MTS India.
ZTE has also won the MTS India’s CDMA expansion contracts and EV-DO upgrade contracts for 10 telecom circles. The EV-DO Rev.B Phase2 commercial launch will commence in Rajasthan circle with speed up to 14.7 Mbps.
The commercial use of EV-DO Rev.B technology will greatly enhance the existing service speeds of mobile broadband for SSTL. Compared to EV-DO Rev.B Phase1, the Phase2 technology can further enhance the BTS cell capacity, spectrum efficiency and peak rate, achieving high speed rate as high as 4.9 Mbps in single frequency carrier and 14.7 Mbps in three frequency carriers bundle.
At the same time, ZTE’s solution based on SDR Uni-RAN technology can realize the system upgrade by just changing the channel card and software, which would protect the investment of SSTL to the fullest.
Vsevolod Rozanov, President & Chief Executive Officer, SSTL said “We are excited to partner with ZTE Corporation for further up gradation of our telecom network including the CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase 2 roll-out. This would enable us to cater to the fast growing demand for high speed mobile broadband in the country. SSTL currently provides high speed mobile broadband services in over 150 towns across India”.

MTS MBlaze Mobile Broadband Service Now In UP East and UP West

 

MTS the CDMA Mobile and Data Services of Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd (SSTL), which nationally operates its telecom services with over 11 million wireless customers, today announced the launch of its High-Speed Mobile Broadband Service, MBlaze in UP East & UP West Circles.

MTS India has rolled out its MBlaze Mobile Broadband – EVDO Data Services in Lucknow, Allahabad, Kanpur, Dehradun, Aligarh, Agra, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Moradabad and Varanasi.
MTS has earmarked close to Rs. 25 Crore for the roll out of its High Speed Mobile Broadband services across UP East & UP West Circles.The company also plans to launch its wireless postpaid services in the two circles by June 2011.
MTS also tied up with Hewlett Packard (HP) – On purchase of HP laptops, customers can get MBlaze Data Card for just Rs. 999 with special offers on prepaid service.

MTS to launch network with 3G like speeds

MTS, India's third CDMA mobile service provider, will launch its upgraded network which will support data speeds up to 14.7 Mbps, starting from Rajasthan, in the next couple of months.
"MTS has already started the trial of the latest CDMA Rev Bnetwork and is expected to launch the services starting from Rajasthan in couple of months" says Leonid Musatov, chief operating officer, MTS India.
This move will put MTS directly in competition with the 3G (GSM) operators in thecountry. Currently GSM 3G operators are offering speedsin the categories of 3.6 Mbps,7.2 Mbps (most mobiles support maximum of 7.2 Mbpsonly), and 21.1 Mbps maximum (most operators arenot offering this speed).
Currently MTS network uses CDMA Rev A (in 100 + cities) which allows it to offer 3.2 Mbps speed. With this upgrade, MTS will deliver speeds for 7-8 Mbps (though technically higher speeds up to 14.7 Mbps are possible).
MTS is also planning to price its data plans cheaper than the 3G competitors, as it doesn't need to pay heavy price for the 3G spectrum that the GSM operators had to pay during the recently held auctions.
However this move might be opposed by the GSM operatorsas they had to sell out additional amount to offer 3G speeds.
