MTNL reduces Speed on demand rates upto 50%

State-run MTNL who introduced Speed-on-Demand (SoD) services for its Broadband customers in Mumbai, has reduced the rates drastically. The Speed-on-demand services offers on demand download and upload speed. Customer may request download speed upto 2Mbps, and upload speed upto 1Mbps. MTNL charges differential rates for requested bandwidth i.e. charges for 2Mbps download will be differ for two customers using different unlimited plans. MTNL also extends concessional charges during night period which starts from 10PM to 8AM.

MTNL Delhi Introduces Weekly SMS Pack For Rs. 15

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL), toady announced the launch of new SMS Pack-15 for its prepaid subscribers in Delhi telecom circle.

MTNL’s new low cost SMS pack comes for Rs. 15 and offers free 400 Local and 200 National SMSes. It comes with the validity for a week (7 days from the date of activation) and available for all 2G and 3G prepaid subscribers in Delhi circle.

Apart from the above new SMS Packs, regular SMS pack of Rs. 30 offers 1,000 SMSes (Free 600 Local SMS + Free 400 National SMS). All SMS Packs will comes with 200 SMS/Day cap as per TRAI regulation.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today launched New Real Time Push Mail & PIM Sync services for its 2G and 3G subscribers in Mumbai circle in association with Bharat Berry. Earlier the service was launched for Delhi circle on 9th May as we shared on TelecomTalk
MTNL also launched one month FREE Trial offer wherein Push Mail & PIM Sync Services will be FREE for the MTNL Customers from 27th May to 26 June 2011. To access MTNL’s Bharat Berry Push Mail & PIM Sync services, MTNL Mumbai subscrber needs to send a SMS as “SUB BB” to 51122.
Bharat Berry real time Push Mail Service is similar to the most popular BlackBerry Services. It provide Freedom from particular device and high end tariff plans and also works with most of the Mobile Phones.
The cost of the service is also a fraction of what the BlackBerry service will cost per month. BharatBerry services for as little as Rs. 50 per month. This cost includes a service that synchronizes calendar and contacts information besides emails. In an attempt to triggering another price war in 3G Mobile Broadband segment in Mumbai telecom circle, India’s first 3G Mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL), today announced the launch of 2 new Unlimited 3G Data Plans and revised exiting Limited Plan-2500 for its subscribers in Mumbai circle.
