State-run MTNL who introduced Speed-on-Demand (SoD) services for its Broadband customers in Mumbai, has reduced the rates drastically. The Speed-on-demand services offers on demand download and upload speed. Customer may request download speed upto 2Mbps, and upload speed upto 1Mbps. MTNL charges differential rates for requested bandwidth i.e. charges for 2Mbps download will be differ for two customers using different unlimited plans. MTNL also extends concessional charges during night period which starts from 10PM to 8AM.
