MTS to launch network with 3G like speeds

MTS, India's third CDMA mobile service provider, will launch its upgraded network which will support data speeds up to 14.7 Mbps, starting from Rajasthan, in the next couple of months.
"MTS has already started the trial of the latest CDMA Rev Bnetwork and is expected to launch the services starting from Rajasthan in couple of months" says Leonid Musatov, chief operating officer, MTS India.
This move will put MTS directly in competition with the 3G (GSM) operators in thecountry. Currently GSM 3G operators are offering speedsin the categories of 3.6 Mbps,7.2 Mbps (most mobiles support maximum of 7.2 Mbpsonly), and 21.1 Mbps maximum (most operators arenot offering this speed).
Currently MTS network uses CDMA Rev A (in 100 + cities) which allows it to offer 3.2 Mbps speed. With this upgrade, MTS will deliver speeds for 7-8 Mbps (though technically higher speeds up to 14.7 Mbps are possible).
MTS is also planning to price its data plans cheaper than the 3G competitors, as it doesn't need to pay heavy price for the 3G spectrum that the GSM operators had to pay during the recently held auctions.
However this move might be opposed by the GSM operatorsas they had to sell out additional amount to offer 3G speeds.

in starting u may not be able to get 3G speed. So make a call to cc and tell them that u have converted your sim into 3G
and i m not getting proper speed.

After 24 hours your speed willincrease..

Now the real game begins.

keep your sim 3G for next 4 to 5 days.

Now go to recharge centre anddo a recharge of 2 rupees to convert it back in 2G.

after just recharge of 2 ruppes do recharge with any plan u want use i.e. 270 plan or 98 plan. (note:- The gap between 2 rupees recharge and 270 or 98 recharge should not be more than 1 minute)

now dont use your sim. Take it out from your mobile for 10 days.

after 10 days u'll see that your speed is just rocketing.

In India only Tata Docomo network supports HD voice

In India, more than 27 mobile phones with high definition sound are available, though only one service provider offers a network that supports HD Voice.
We all look for high definition sound while buyinga TV; it's time we started looking for high definition Voice enabled phones. HD Voice enables conversation that is more natural and is similar to speaking to the other party face to face.
According to a new report by GSA (Global Mobile Suppliers Association), there are 27 mobile phones and 15 mobile networks that support high definition voice.
Among the 15 networks, only Tata Docomo has deployed a network in India that supports HD Voice. However, more is expected to come witha new 3G network being laid out in the country.
The 27 HD voice-capable phones are from Alcatel, HTC,LG, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. All these handsets are available in India.
Chipsets supporting HD Voice are also made by some leading semiconductor companies, and the number of phones with HD Voice is setto grow many fold.
Nokia N8, C6, C7 and E7 handsets have HD Voice activated by default. Nokia C3 and X3 have recently beenshipping with HD Voice, as have Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Xperia Neo and Xperia Pro. All upcoming Sony Ericsson Android phones are expected to have HD Voice activated by default.
The first commercial mobile HD Voice service started in September 2009. The technology's momentum has been growing since then.
HD Voice services operate on 15 mobile networks in 14 countries across the world: Armenia, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Luxembourg, Moldova, Russia, Spain, and the UK.
