am using Docomo 3G datacard(zte) for accessing net..
but near my PC range for docomo is very poor !!
so i googled to increase d signal strength of modem or 3G mobile & found this weird but Working trick for that!!!
u just need a Kitchen pot 4 this..
take a kithen pot (approx 20~30cm dia)
put ur modem or cell inside that pot..
& direct it towards window or where u usually get good range!!! & voila done !!!!
b4 using this i was getting speeds hardly up 2 320KBps!!!
but after using this method mgetting speeds from 350~450 KBps very easily !!!(though range shown in dashboard is 1or2 towers !!)
but signal csq rises from 7/99 to 10/99~13/99
change is not that much large in my case as window is @ far distance from my PC in my room
i know this is annoying & kinda funny....but working for me !!!
dont look at the range indicated by dashboard !! start ur download using IDM[without using this trick/pot]...check speed.& nowinsert modem in pot[download is in progress]
&&&& u will surely notice difference between speeds!!!!!!!!
